Martek Medical was born in 2006, as part of the Martek Marine Ltd family, a well established world leader in marine safety and environmental monitoring systems. Martek Medical has inherited its parent company's philosophy of innovation, by introducing the LIFELINE AED, a truly remarkable lifesaving product.
Martek were introduced to the LIFELINE AED in 2006 by Defibtech USA, who are leaders in the field of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). We were so blown away by the hard hitting facts and the simplicity of the product; we just had to have it. This resulted in us signing an agreement with Defibtech and having exclusive distribution rights for the LIFELINE AED in the UK market.
No doubt you will know of someone who has been affected by heart problems, and so you will understand why all at Martek have emotional ties to both the issue of sudden cardiac arrest and the product itself. This is why we are so passionate about educating as many people as possible about SCA and this fantastic product which is so simple yet reliable to use.
We are so keen to raise awareness of SCA; you will often find us supporting charities such as Arrhythmia Alliance, British Heart Foundation, Derby Civil Aid.
